CLEANING POEM
As I go about my housework
Let me see each job I do,
As a service for my King
And a way of loving You.
Let me wash away my judgments
Of others right or wrong,
As I wash up the dishes
Place within my heart a song.
As I clean up little fingerprints
And lots of muddy shoes,
May I remember how
you cleaned the feet
Of the loved ones
you did choose.
As I mend up torn pajamas
And sew a button on,
Show me where I need
to mend a breech
That's gone on far too long.
Let me tidy up my thoughts
As I tidy up the toys,
Let me sweep away my fears
Like the dirt from little boys.
May I be just as quick with my forgiveness
As I am with mop and broom,
Sweeping up the clutter
In my heart and living room.
May I rinse out pride and ego
As I rinse the bathtub out,
And while we are at it Lord
Let's take care of
anger, hate and doubt.
Please remind me often Lord
That the way I'm called to serve,
Is an honor given me
And not below what I deserve.
You know Lord, as I look
At all the work we need to do,
I think we'd better house clean
At least each day or two.

Wonders CAN cease!
Ever wonder why, when cleaning glass or mirrors, that you sometimes see a smearing that is really tough to get rid of? Well, wonder no more! The last three or four sheets of paper toweling have tiny particals of glue on them so, when you use them, the glue is transferred onto the surface you are working on. Always discard your paper towel before you get to those last sheets (unless of course you use them for blowing your nose).
Grapplin’ with granite!
Sure, there are some really groovy products on the market, with not so groovy prices attached to them! In my experience, unless you are dealing with a really dirty, grimy surface, please do the following:
- Get a good old fashioned yellow dust cloth.
- Saturate the cloth with water.
- Squeeze the water out like you are wringing your worst enemy's neck.
- Wipe the granite with the rag and dry with a clean, lint free cloth.
You’ll never look back but you WILL look at your reflection in the shining granite surface!
What do lime, waterstains and frustration have in common?
Yup, you got that one right. Your shower door! Listen folks, make it easy on both yourself and your cleaning staff. LEAVE YOUR SHOWER DOOR OPEN AFTER USE. By doing this, the steam does not stay around to play it’s nasty tricks on the inside of your shower stall. Also, for $4.00 and change, PLEASE buy some spray shower stuff and actually USE IT after every shower. It’s a modern day miracle in a bottle and cheap at the price.
Snakes and snails and puppy dogs tails
For those of you potty training your young lad, or for those of you with men folk who have a poor aim, I’d like to personally recommend a brilliant product for around the loo. Urine Be Gone. By golly, it actually lives up to it’s name and it’s a sight cheaper then sending your loved one off to potty training camp!
